When Community Comes Together: White Plains Steps Up for Local Families

In real estate, we often talk about building communities. But what does that really mean? For Jess Watts and the team at White Plains Rand Realty, it means showing up when it matters most.

A Growing Crisis in Our Backyard

Huge thank you to my office of White Plains Rand Realty for stepping up big for 914Cares

When food insecurity is up, things like diapers, wipes and onesies become an unattainable option. 1 in 4 Westchester families live in poverty and nearly 4 in 10 school-aged children are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.

We believe we can and must do better for every individual. Every child. Every family. For the well-being of all our neighbors and our entire community.

Here in Westchester, 33% of babies in are born into families on Medicaid (Community County Health Assessment), and 2,100 children have experienced homelessness right here in county (NYS Dept of Education).

At a time when resources are low- it’s important those who can, do.

When people ask me what sets me apart as a real estate agent in Westchester and Fairfield County, my answer is simple. I am deeply tapped into this community, and that means I often know when a home is about to hit the market, sometimes before the seller has even made it official.

I hope everyone has managed all this rain. While rain can be all doom and gloom, it is a great time to look for course corrections. In certain locations, our soil is very dense, and clay like which can lead to a low percolation rate.

A great way to do this? Yoga in the Garden is back for year four! 🌿
