From College Tennis to Real Estate: Jess Watts Serves Westchester & Fairfield County

One day you're playing college tennis in Utah, the next you're selling homes in New York and Connecticut as a mom. Life has a funny way of taking you exactly where you need to be.

From Tennis Courts in Utah to Selling Homes in New York | My Real Estate Journey

I never imagined that the girl hitting backhands on Utah courts would end up navigating the competitive Westchester and Fairfield County real estate markets. But looking back, the path makes perfect sense.

Tennis taught me discipline, strategy, and how to perform under pressure. Motherhood taught me patience, multitasking, and advocacy. Real estate requires all of that and more.

The mental toughness I developed competing at the college level translates directly to negotiating deals and fighting for my clients' best interests. The work ethic required to balance athletics and academics prepared me for juggling client needs, market research, and family responsibilities.

Moving across the country, starting over, building a career while raising kids - none of it was part of the original plan. But sometimes the unexpected path leads to exactly where you're meant to be.

Now I channel that competitive drive into finding my clients their dream homes. The same determination that kept me training through early mornings and pushing through tough matches now fuels my search for the perfect property, even when inventory is impossibly tight.

I bring an athlete's mentality to every transaction: preparation, persistence, and never giving up until we win. When other agents tell you to compromise, I see it as just another challenge to overcome.

From serving aces on the court to serving families finding their perfect communities in Westchester and Fairfield County - it's been quite a journey, and I wouldn't change a thing.

There's a specific kind of buyer who ends up in my DMs asking about North Salem. They want acreage. They want room for horses. And they are absolutely not willing to trade convenience for it. The good news? They don't have to.

Going green does not have to mean overhauling your entire lifestyle. One of the most impactful and accessible sustainability habits is also one of the most overlooked: shopping local. And if you live in Westchester, you have every reason to try!

Timing matters. But so does presentation. And in Westchester's real estate market, you really can't afford to get either one wrong.
