Spring has Sprung in Westchester, New York

Spring has sprung, and the market is starting to blossom.

After seeing next to nothing on in February, it is nice to see some new inventory flowing. Those looking in the Katonah- Lewisboro District or Bedford Central District are going to need to be prepared for bidding wars. The inventory just isn’t there.

I have been blessed to have some listings on, but the chaos has been real. The biggest thing- the list price is not going to be the final price most of the time. In fact, high demand areas are going 10-20% above their list price. Don’t let it stress you out- just get in with me early so we can have a plan!

In non real estate news… I am getting excited for spring. Who is thinking of a garden this year? It is almost time to get the party started. I recently cleared out a few of my vegetable garden boxes, but am leaving some alone- along with leaves and plants alone in case little critters are using it for warmth or hiding.

Want a garden, but don’t know where to start? Start small- I love herbs, lettuce, micro greens and radishes- they never fail me. If a flower cutting garden is more your thing- check out Sweet Earth Co. for a great cutting garden course.

Going through a divorce is challenging enough without making rushed decisions about your biggest asset—your home. Many couples assume a buyout is the simplest solution, but it's not always the best financial move for either party.
