Real Estate June 2024 Westchester New York
Summer Solutions & Big RE Updates
It is officially summertime for our family. We have been busy in the garden, swimming and enjoying a few days without rain (ironic I am writing this on a rain day).
If you missed my video on cinnamon, they are a garden powerhouse. Use sticks like stakes in your garden to keep the animals away. I like the sticks, because they stay after the rain. Try it!
River has officially graduated his pre-k program, and I was so thankful for my yard, and balloon delivery service (incredible when you decide last minute you need something). I loved the festive balloons outside, but keep in mind they can pop in the heat.
Balloons aren’t sustainable, and the rubber can harm animals, as my dogs have tested out years ago… so make sure they are tied down well, pick up anything that pops quickly, and think about keeping them under shade.
Real estate is in an interesting place right now. Interest rates are holding, BUT changes are imminent. As of July 15, Buyer Agreements will be MANDATORY before viewing any property. These agreements will state that if the seller does not pay a buyers fee (which is no longer required), it will fall to the buyer. Sellers may still offer to pay portions, but we will no longer see which properties those are as the fees will all be blank on the MLS. This is being done to create an equal playing field.
That being said, if you are wanting to buy soon, and aren’t selling… you may want to save some money and attempt to jump in now. The reason I say those who aren’t selling… Sellers will be paying the same amount essentially in fees. It will just be split between their sale and buy.
It is a lot of information. Don’t feel overwhelmed! If you have any questions, I am here.
Otherwise, make sure you enjoy the next few days of sunshine and mark your calendars for Happy Hour in the Garden! It is complimentary! Reply back to me to RSVP. We will be having a new mushroom liquor featured, and wine from ONE HOPE that will benefit ABLE ATHLETICS. Find out about them here!
