How I'd Spend My First Weekend in Northern Westchester

If I were moving to Northern Westchester today, I wouldn't start with a home tour. I'd start with a weekend.

So here's how I'd spend it.

Here's why. Listings can tell you about square footage, school districts, and lot size. What they can't tell you is how a town feels on a Saturday morning, or whether you'll run into a neighbor at the coffee shop and end up chatting for twenty minutes. That feeling is what turns a house into home.

Saturday morning in Chappaqua, grabbing coffee downtown and walking the village the way locals do. It's the kind of place where shop owners know your name and your order.

Saturday afternoon in Armonk, poking into the shops on Main Street and staying for an early dinner. The restaurant scene here is a real highlight, so come hungry.

Sunday in North Salem, with its winding roads, horse farms, and the kind of quiet you can't find closer to the city. Take the long way. The stone walls and open fields are worth every extra minute.

By Sunday night, you'd know which town actually feels like home. And that's the part that matters most.

Every town in Northern Westchester has its own personality. Some people fall for the energy of a walkable village. Others want land, privacy, and space to breathe. There's no wrong answer, only the one that fits the way you want to live.

A beautiful house is easy to find here. The right community is what makes you stay.

If you're thinking about a move to Northern Westchester, I'd love to show you the places I love most in each of these towns. Send me a message and let's plan your weekend.

That comes in right around 300 words. If Jess has a favorite coffee shop or restaurant in any of these towns, naming it would make this even stronger and double as a local business spotlight. I can also put this in a file for you if that's easier to hand off.

It is hard to believe that we are already heading into fall and that school is back in action. Before fall fully arrives, here are the things to prioritize now.

Callann was told to expect a long search. That kind of property doesn't come around often, and when it does, it goes fast. I don't work well with "expect a long search."

Every week I talk to someone who is done with the city. Done with the noise, the rent, the feeling of never quite having enough space to breathe. And every single time they ask me the same question. Where do I even start?
