A few months in, she had it. The exact thing she'd been describing for years, sitting in front of her instead of somewhere down the road.

Here's what I think people get wrong about their biggest goals. They confuse "not available right now" with "not possible." Those are not the same thing, and treating them the same is how a goal stays out of reach far longer than it needs to.

A property that isn't listed today might be listed next week. A house that isn't for sale might become one, if the right conversation happens at the right time. None of that means the thing doesn't exist. It means the timing hasn't lined up yet, and timing is a moving target, not a locked door.

If you want something specific enough that people keep telling you to be patient, that's usually the thing worth going after harder, not slower.

Patience has its place. But so does persistence, and knowing which one the moment calls for makes all the difference.
