4 Things to do in Upstate New York

These are 4 fun things to do in upstate New York with your family!

Kahlo Collective

Kahlo Collective is the best eco-chic boutique with a big community vibe. Many believe it’s a little piece of Brooklyn in Pound Ridge. Tambra or “Tami” McCarthy curates sustainable, ethically made products. The highlight? She has her own Tambra skin care and candle line, all made by hand from organic materials. Tami is an active volunteer in Pound Ridge and often volunteers her time and resources to make it shine. Check out some of her off site wellness and education activities and events!

Noelle Healing

Kristin Raniola of Noelle Healing is an Intuitive Energy Healer and Reiki Master. She has helped countless people and pets deal with issues and re-align. When I need to re-tune or feel off, she is my first call. She also offers collective healing thru sound baths, and moon meditation/workshops.

Market at union hall

The Market at Union Hall is a small gem in North Salem. They are famous for their cafe which features coffees/teas/pastries, but also for their grocery store with local gifts for purchase, groceries, and local farm fresh produce.

A benefit of where we live is we get to explore other neighboring towns! Stanford CT is known as a city center full of great food, colleges and even breweries!

Stamford Nature Center

One of our FAVORITES is the Stamford Nature Center in North Stamford. We come here at least twice a month. They have farm animals, otters, owls, an amazing playground, and different programs for kids!! The afternoon reading program is perfect- books, then meeting an animal or two.

This week it was a baby chick and goat. I recommend snagging a membership and visiting often. You can also donate and help them continue their work.

Welcome to my visit to The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art! First off, a huge thank you to Holly for the incredible tour. The museum is truly a gem, offering a unique blend of contemporary art that both inspires and captivates. The new sculpture garden is particularly stunning and is poised to become a vibrant community hub. I highly recommend visiting the museum to experience it for yourself.

There's something magical about watching your children grow, from their first uncertain steps to their confident, chaotic sprints through the hallways. When you first brought your little one home, the space you had might have seemed more than ample. Your living room was a castle, and the backyard a vast kingdom. Yet, as the years fly by, that once spacious home begins to feel more like a cozy cottage—charming but decidedly cramped. As your child hits milestones, such as turning five and starting school, you might notice they need more room to explore, play, and simply be a kid. This can be a clear signal that it’s time to consider upsizing your home. This blog will talk about how to recognize when your family might need a bigger space and how to take those next steps.
